Job summary

Health System Services in Newburgh, NY is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a full-time role. You will set up CPAP/BIPAP/NHV in office and home, perform ventilation checks and oxygen titration, and educate patients on respiratory equipment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program is required.
• Respiratory Therapist license in the corresponding state is required.
• One year in DME is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Set patients up on CPAP, BIPAP, and NHV therapy in office and in their homes.
• Conduct ventilation checks, oxygen titration/evaluation for O2 patients on conserving devices and POC’s.
• Provide instruction on use of equipment and education on respiratory disease state.
• Set up neonatal to adult patients on ventilators and perform monthly service checks while coordinating with local hospitals and referrals.
• Schedule all patient equipment set ups, follow ups, mask refits, etc.
• Keep detailed call logs of all phone communication, phone call attempts, and scheduled appointments.
• Instruct patients thoroughly on use of all Respiratory Equipment.
• Enter patient data into CPAP compliance tracking program.
• Follow up on patient progress, work to increase patient compliance.

What You Have to Offer
