Shriners Children's Chicago is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a part-time, day shift. The ideal candidate will bring pediatric critical care respiratory therapy experience and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

The pay range is $33.47–$50.22 per hour, with a 48-hour bi-weekly schedule and shifts from 7am to 7pm. Opportunities for rounds, multidisciplinary planning, and pediatric-focused research support patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory therapy or equivalent.
• RRT license registered in Illinois.
• BLS and PALS certifications from American Heart Association.
• Minimum 5 years of RT experience in ICU settings.
• Pediatric care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary respiratory care to patients from admission through discharge under a physician's order.
• Participate in daily rounds and interdisciplinary plan of care.
• Communicate patient and departmental information in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure safe, cost-effective operation and infection control for equipment and procedures.
• Contribute to research projects to advance pediatric respiratory care.
