Shriners Children’s Ohio is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team for a part‑time night shift. The ideal candidate will bring experience in pediatric critical care respiratory therapy and a strong commitment to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

This role works 2/12s with weekend rotation every 3rd weekend and requires an Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy, RT license, BLS, and PALS within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
• RT license in state of practice.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
• BLS certification within 30 days of start date.
• PALS certification within six months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary respiratory care from admission to discharge under physician order.
• Communicate patient and departmental information in a timely and appropriate manner (rounds).
• Document accurate, complete patient care data per policy and procedure guidelines.
• Ensure safe, cost-efficient operation and infection control in all areas.

Job Description

Shriners Children’s Ohio is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a part - time, night shift schedule. The ideal candidate will bring experience in pediatric critical care respiratory therapy and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Hours: This part-time, night shift position will work 2/12s and rotate every 3rd weekend.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides primary respiratory care to patients from admission through their discharge under a physician’s order

• Communicates verbal and/or written patient and departmental information/special needs to pertinent persons in a timely and appropriate manner (i.e. rounds)

• Documents accurate, specific, complete patient care data according to policy and procedure guidelines

• Assures safe, cost effective operation and function of pertinent equipmentand utilizes appropriate infection control techniques in all areas

Required Qualifications:

• Associate Degree - Respiratory Therapy

• RT license in state of practice

• Certified Respiratory Therapist

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (within 30 days)

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (within six months)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 Years respiratory therapy experience in an ICU setting

• 2 Years pediatric experience

• Registered Respiratory Therapist

The pay range for this position is $32.15 - $48.23. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
