Job summary

Shriners Children’s Chicago is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team caring for pediatric patients. The schedule includes day and night shifts with weekends, in a per diem capacity.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy, 5 years ICU RT experience, IL license (RRT preferred), and current BLS and PALS credentials. Compensation reflects experience and departmental equity.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years RT experience in ICU setting.
• Illinois license and RRT credential required.
• BLS and PALS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary respiratory care to patients under physician orders.
• Document care data accurately and timely per policy.
• Participate in rounds and care planning with the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain infection control practices and equipment safety.
