Job summary

UVA Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our inpatient rehab team in Charlottesville, VA. You will provide direct care for patients needing respiratory support, guiding treatments and contributing to recovery with compassionate, specialized care.

Qualifications

• Current state license in respiratory therapy.
• CPR certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Two years hospital experience in respiratory therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients in need of medical gas, breathing therapy modality, and medication.
• Guiding patients by supervising care and breathing treatments, leading patient assessments, creating personalized care plans, and addressing concerns.
• Building meaningful relationships with patients by dedicating time to understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs for recovery.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
