Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Western Massachusetts is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct respiratory care in a hospital-based rehabilitation setting. You will deliver medical gas, breathing therapies, and medications, while supervising treatments and contributing to individualized care plans that support patient recovery.

Ideal candidates hold current state licensure, CPR, and ACLS certification with hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Current State License in Respiratory Therapy.
• CPR certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Two years hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients in need of medical gas, breathing therapy modality, and medication.
• Guiding patients by supervising care and breathing treatments, leading patient assessments, creating personalized care plans, and targeting and resolving patient concerns.
• Building meaningful relationships with patients by dedicating time to understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs for a successful recovery.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
