Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Care Family. You'll provide direct patient care, manage therapy modalities, and collaborate with a compassionate team to promote recovery and independence in our inpatient setting.

The role emphasizes supervising breathing treatments, developing personalized care plans, and building trusting relationships with patients. Current state licensure, CPR, and ACLS (preferred) are required or encouraged; two years

Qualifications

• Current State License in Respiratory Therapy is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Two years hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients in need of medical gas, breathing therapy modality, and medication.
• Guiding patients by supervising care and breathing treatments, leading patient assessments, creating personalized care plans, and targeting and resolving patient concerns.
• Building meaningful relationships with patients by dedicating time to understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs for a successful recovery.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
