Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Respiratory Specialist to manage respiratory systems and related devices, serving as the technical expert for safe operation and efficiency. You will coordinate with CE-IT and IT teams to ensure data flow from equipment to the EPIC EMR, and provide training to clinical staff.

Independent work ethic is essential, with responsibilities spanning maintenance, problem solving, and collaboration with nursing and respiratory teams to improve outcomes

Qualifications

• Minimum: Associate Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology; preferred: Bachelor in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering.
• Proven knowledge of respiratory systems, monitoring devices, and related biomedical equipment.
• Experience with HL-7, HIPAA, JCAHO and regulatory guidelines is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and QA on respiratory systems and related medical devices.
• Coordinate with CE, IT, and clinical teams to ensure device integration with EMR.
• Provide training and support to staff on device operation and safety procedures.
• Document all work in the CE management system and adhere to accreditation requirements.
