Job summary

Carson Valley Health seeks a Respiratory Services Manager in Gardnerville, NV. You will lead the respiratory department with 24-hour responsibility, ensure staff competency, and drive quality patient care in a hospital setting.

The role demands NV licensure, BLS/ACLS, NRP within 6 months, and five years of clinical experience with strong leadership and communication skills. Added responsibilities include budgeting, CQI oversight, and equipment management.

Qualifications

• NV state license required.
• BLS/ACLS certification required.
• Registered or registry eligible in respiratory care.
• Graduate of approved school of respiratory care.
• NRP within 6 months of employment.
• Five years clinical experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
• Clinical competence in respiratory care services.

Responsibilities

• Staff: ensure orientation and competency completion; policy-aligned evaluations; HR collaboration; promote organizational culture and strategic goals.
• Management: monitor trends, staffing adjustments, salary budget, capital equipment procurement, performance objectives, CQI oversight.
• Therapeutic Modalities: safely administer medications, document in EMR, manage oxygen and devices; ensure proper physician orders.
• Code Team: respond to arrest, CPR as needed, maintain CPR/BLS/ACLS and equipment readiness.
• Equipment: setup and monitor ventilators, CPAP/BIPAP; document ventilator settings in EMR; perform checks and wean as directed.
• EKG: perform 12-lead EKGs, ensure equipment maintenance, coordinate stress tests.
