Job summary

University of Mississippi Medical Center seeks a Respiratory Quality and Education Coordinator for the Children's of Mississippi program. You will oversee quality improvement, staff education, and adherence to evidence-based respiratory care standards, coordinating across the respiratory department.

This full-time role requires two years of respiratory therapy experience, BLS, ACLS or PALS, and NBRC credentials (RRT and CRT).

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of respiratory therapy experience.
• BLS required (AHA).
• ACLS or PALS required (AHA).
• RRT (NBRC) certification.
• CRT (NBRC) certification.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner license (Mississippi).

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, monitor, and continuously improve respiratory services to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Identify training needs and coordinate orientation, educational programs, and staff development activities.
• Lead ongoing clinical quality improvement initiatives within the respiratory department.
• Coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure evidence-based clinical quality goals and outcomes.
• Provide feedback to medical staff and administration regarding outcomes from clinical improvement initiatives.
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures related to respiratory care and quality standards.
