Job summary

Leidos Inc. at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, seeks a Respiratory Testing Technician to support DEVCOM CBC by operating and maintaining HEPA/HEGA filtration systems and respiratory monitoring equipment used in chemical and biological testing.

You will calibrate instruments, analyze monitoring data, and collaborate with principal investigators to drive lab operations, improve experimental reliability, and advance respiratory protection solutions for warfighters.

Qualifications

Associate degree in chemistry or related field with 2+ years experience, or HS diploma with 4+ years in filter testing.
Experience with filter leak test equipment and chemical monitoring equipment.
Knowledge of health science or engineering principles related to respiratory systems.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related sciences.

Responsibilities

Set up and maintain chemical/biological filtration systems incl HEPA/HEGA.
Test Automated Metabolic Breathing simulator and other respiratory protection systems.
Debug, optimize, and repair chemical monitoring equipment.
Calibrate and verify chemical laboratory equipment including sensors.
Assess monitoring data to support respiratory testing environments.
Collaborate with Principal Investigators to drive lab operations.
Work with internal experts on how applied tech affects respiratory solutions.
Design solutions to resolve complex technical issues.
Communicate effectively with Principal Investigators and stakeholders.
