Job summary

Renown Health in Reno, NV seeks a Respiratory Educator to coordinate education and quality improvement across Respiratory Service lines. The role partners with the Director to revise policies, implement protocols, assess competencies, and orient new personnel.

The Educator leads the Respiratory Therapist Training Program, coordinates student rotations (REMSA, UNR, Nursing), and mentors staff to ensure safe, evidence-based practice for neonatal to geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a healthcare or education related field preferred.
• Five years of respiratory care experience in an acute care setting preferred, minimum of 2 years required.
• Experience planning and conducting in-servicing education and training preferred.
• Licensure and certifications must be obtained by hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate education and Quality Improvement programs for Respiratory Services across the network.
• Oversee Renown internal Respiratory Therapist Training Program and student rotations (REMSA, UNR, Nursing).
• Provide leadership, role modeling, coaching, and staff development for respiratory care staff.
