Qualifications

• 5 years respiratory care with critical care experience required.
• 2 years supervisory or assistant supervisory experience required.
• Bachelor's or higher degree in respiratory care or related field required.
• Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program required.
• Must have NJ-RESP license and BLS certification; ACLS/PALS optional.

Responsibilities

• Assumes the role for the coordination and participation in specialized respiratory care clinical programs.
• Educates the respiratory care staff, students and multidisciplinary staff.
• Participates in intra and interdisciplinary activities and programs.
• Demonstrates effective communication skills, teaching ability and techniques required for effective job performance.
• Role may require exposure to hazardous materials.
• Physical tasks are listed in the respiratory therapist job analysis.
