Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a Respiratory Therapist Educational Program accredited by CAAHEP.
• Current state licensure as a respiratory therapist and NBRC registration requirements.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials and ACLS certification if working in Cardiac Rehab/Respiratory Care/Sleep Center.

Responsibilities

• Interview, examine, and assess patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Consult with physicians to develop patient treatment plans and create therapy programs.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity.
• Treat patients using chest physiotherapy, aerosols, and non-invasive methods (CPAP/BiPAP).
• Monitor and document progress of treatment and educate patients on treatments.
• Operate and maintain respiratory equipment and contribute to QA activities.
