McLaren Health Care in Michigan seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide emergency and intensive care services, monitor equipment, and educate patients for pulmonary disorders.

The role covers diagnostic testing, therapy program development with physicians, and management of ventilators and non-invasive therapies in a high-acuity setting. This is a full-time position requiring CAAHEP-accredited training, state licensure, NBRC RRT, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a Respiratory Therapist Educational Program accredited by the CAAHEP.
• Current state licensure as a respiratory therapist.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• BLS certification.

Responsabilités

• Interviews, examines and assesses patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Consults with physicians to develop patient treatment plans and creates therapy programs.
• Performs diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity and blood gas analysis.
• Treats patients using chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications, CPAP/BIPAP.
• Monitors and records progress of treatment.
