Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a hands-on Supervisor of Respiratory Care for Morton Plant Hospital. This leadership role focuses on supporting patients and staff, coaching teams, and delivering high-quality respiratory care in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background with 5 years of acute care Respiratory experience and 4 years in a lead role, plus active RRT and NBRC credentials.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years acute care and respiratory experience.
• 4 years lead role experience preferred.
• RRT license and NBRC credential required.
• BLS; ACLS within 6 months; NRP/PALS within 6 months if pediatrics.
• Associates degree required; Bachelor's preferred in Respiratory Therapy or related field.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Respiratory Care Manager in supervision and staffing.
• Assists with hiring, performance reviews, coaching, counseling and termination.
• Ensures regulatory requirements are met and drives process improvements.
• Acts as a role model and leads by example.
• Reports to a Manager over multiple departments/campuses with >10 direct reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
