Job summary

Mercy in Ardmore, OK seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in accordance with physician orders and to consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness. The role serves as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing on respiratory care, performing duties as assigned.

Required: graduation from a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program, current RRT credential (NBRC), and an active Oklahoma RCP license; PALS may be required in the ER.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meets state licensure requirements and has a current RCP license.
• Experience: None.
• Holds the RRT credential issued by NBRC. PALS may be required for ER staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
