Qualifications

• Must have earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• A minimum of four years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years in clinical respiratory care.
• At least two years of teaching experience in a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program or as a clinical instructor/preceptor.
• Valid RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Valid Massachusetts respiratory therapist license.
• Current membership in the American Association of Respiratory Care.
• Ability to pass CORI/SORI background check.
• Must complete CoARC Key Personnel Training within 24 months.
• Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds.
• LMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Respiratory Care Program under the Dean of Health Professions and oversee accreditation standards.
• Teach assigned courses per the collective bargaining agreement.
• Develop curriculum, select textbooks, and manage equipment and supplies.
• Develop departmental budget and manage inventory.
• Promote simulation education and apply current respiratory care advances.
• Participate in college governance and maintain professional credentials.
