Mercy Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Professional 1 to support basic respiratory care for non-acute patients under licensed supervision in Youngstown, OH. Duties include assisting with blood sampling, setting up oxygen and non-invasive devices, and applying therapies per protocol.

Qualified candidates will hold a state permit, BLS, and be enrolled in or a recent graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care Program. Training on safety and infection control is provided.

Qualifikationen

• Current Respiratory Care License/Permit as required by the state.
• BLS Certification from American Heart Association.
• Enrollment in AMA-approved Respiratory Care Program or recent graduate.

Aufgaben

• Draw arterial and/or capillary blood samples under supervision, process samples, report results, and perform quality controls.
• Set up and monitor non-invasive respiratory equipment (oximeters, capnographs) and administer oxygen delivery devices.
• Provide basic respiratory therapy techniques including Aerosol Therapy, Postural Drainage and Percussion, Incentive Spirometry, and Metered Dose Inhalers.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and ensure respiratory supplies and equipment are stocked.
