Job summary

Providence Covenant Children’s Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care professional for full-time day shift. You will plan, prepare, and deliver a broad range of respiratory care procedures and diagnostic studies, while documenting all care and maintaining equipment.

The role includes patient billing duties and requires licensure in Texas along with BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications within stated timelines. The ideal candidate has an AMA-approved respiratory care degree (associate or bachelor’s)

Qualifications

• Must have an AMA-approved Respiratory Care degree (Assoc. or Bache­lor) and licensure.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certification required at or within specified timelines.
• 1 year of experience preferred; clinical training may count toward this requirement.

• Plans, prepares, and delivers a broad range of respiratory care procedures and diagnostic studies.
• Documents all respiratory care on appropriate records.
• Inspects, tests, maintains and operates respiratory care equipment.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree from a Respiratory Care Program from an AMA approved school, Or
• Bachelor's Degree from a Respiratory Care Program from an AMA approved school in lieu of an associate degree and 1 year of experience.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Associationupon hire.
• National Provider ACLS - American Heart Associationwithin 90 days of hire.
• National Provider PALS - American Heart Associationwithin 90 days of hire.
• Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire - if practicing within this state.
• 1 year experience (May include clinical portion of training program).

Preferred Qualification:

• Coursework/Training: Flight Training.
