The University of Washington's UWMC Montlake Respiratory Care team is seeking a Pulmonary Function Technologist for the Lung Function Testing Clinic on a part-time basis (30 hours per week). The role conducts pulmonary function tests and supports operation of the LFT lab under the supervision of the department Manager.

You will perform routine respiratory care, assist with diagnostic equipment, coordinate scheduling, educate patients, and ensure compliance with department policies.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a respiratory care program approved by the State of Washington Department of Health.
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (Registered Respiratory Therapist) by the State of Washington.
  • Equivalent education/experience may substitute for minimum qualifications where allowed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide routine respiratory care, including administration of medical gases and prescribed agents.
  • Proficient in arterial blood gas punctures and oxygen support.
  • Coordinate scheduling with departments, physicians, and staff requests.
  • Maintain department policies; prepare reports for review.
  • Educate patients and families on pulmonary diagnostic procedures and equipment.

Job DescriptionUWMC - Montlake Respiratory Care has an outstanding opportunity to hire Pulmonary Function Technologist for their Lung Function Testing Clinic.WORK SCHEDULEPART-TIME30 hours per weekPOSITION HIGHLIGHTSThe role of the Pulmonary Function Technologist is to conduct pulmonary function tests and assist with the operation of the Lung Function Testing department.
