Job summary

University of Washington's UW Medical Center – Montlake is seeking a Per Diem Respiratory Care Practitioner to deliver advanced respiratory care to patients across ages in ICU, acute care, and ED. The role operates under general supervision within our diverse care settings.

You will work per diem with a focus on collaboration, independent clinical judgment, and adherence to respiratory care protocols to support patient plans of care.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Washington-approved respiratory care program or equivalent education/experience.
• Licensed as Respiratory Care Practitioner in Washington state.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the respiratory care process to provide safe, therapeutic respiratory care to patients.
• Make independent judgments and take action regarding a wide range of routine and complex patient issues.
• Collaborate with appropriate disciplines to coordinate continuity of patient care from admission through discharge in support of the respiratory, medical and nursing plans of care.
