Join the Adult Respiratory Therapy team at The Johns Hopkins Hospital as a Respiratory Care Practitioner III. In this role, you will provide advanced respiratory care to adult patients, including those in critical and intensive care settings. You will serve as a clinical and technical resource, support respiratory care during high-acuity emergencies, mentor staff, and promote quality, safety, and operational readiness across the department.
Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy, Respiratory Care, or a related field.
Graduate of a Registered Respiratory Therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
Minimum of five years of clinical experience in adult critical or intensive care.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Current Maryland Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, when applicable.
Experience serving as a charge therapist, preceptor, or clinical resource.
Experience mentoring and developing respiratory care practitioners.
Experience leading quality improvement initiatives, committees, or clinical workgroups.
Experience with ECMO, ventricular assist devices (VAD), or extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ECPR).
Minimum 39.56/hour - Maximum 65.34/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
