County of Ventura seeks dedicated Respiratory Care Practitioners to join Ventura County Medical Center and Santa Paula Hospital. Multiple levels (I–IV) and PDP pools offer a clear career path from trainee to advanced practitioner across NICU, PICU, and adult ICU settings.

Salary ranges reflect entry to advanced levels with incentives for educational degrees and bilingual skills. Travel between facilities is required; overtime eligibility applies.

Qualificações

• Must possess a current Respiratory Care Practitioner license issued by the California Board of Respiratory Care.
• BLS certification required; levels II–IV require PALS, ACLS, and NRP or be willing to obtain within specified timeframes.
• Regular and PDP positions require appropriate licensure and ongoing certifications per level.

Responsabilidades

• Perform respiratory care procedures in ICU, NICU, and PICU per protocol.
• Assess, plan, and communicate patient care needs to the healthcare team.
• Administer respiratory medications and manage oxygen therapy and ventilation.
• Provide education to patients and families on respiratory therapies and device use.
• Coordinate staff assignments and assist with complex clinical cases as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation in patient records.
