Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a compassionate Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with CRT credential to join our clinical team. You will provide high-quality respiratory care across age groups and acuity, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree or Certificate of Completion in Respiratory Therapy required.
Education note: in a CoARC or CoARTE approved Respiratory Care Program.
Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in Illinois and Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) per NBRC.
BLS within 30 days, ACLS within 1 year, NRP within 1 year, PALS within 1 year.
RRT certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

Performs patient care activities including all forms of respiratory therapy per physician orders.
Ventilator management and maintenance with appropriate alarms.
Documents all therapy, ventilator settings, and patient data accurately.
Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other staff; participates in rounds.
Performs bedside tests (ABGs) and quality control as required.
