Emory Healthcare in Atlanta is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to work in inpatient and outpatient clinical departments. Responsibilities include maintaining competencies, assessing unit work, and participating in interdisciplinary discussions for patient care.
The ideal candidate should possess an Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care, hold a valid license in Georgia, and may be a recent graduate with less than 2 years of experience. Comprehensive benefits are provided from day one.
This role defines the Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) who serves as a clinician in both inpatient and outpatient clinical departments. The RCP employs evidence‑based practice, supports department and service area initiatives, and develops professionally. They adhere to Emory Behavioral Standards and Service Culture Guidelines, provide patient and family centered care, and consistently meet departmental and hospital quality & safety goals.
Workplaces may involve exposure to blood‑borne pathogens, bio‑hazardous waste, chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors, communicable diseases, electrical shock, floor surfaces, hot/cold temperatures, indoor/outdoor conditions, latex, lighting, patient care/handling injuries, radiation, shift work, and travel. Personal protective equipment, including respirators, may be required.
