Qualifications

• Knowledge of applicable regulatory and professional standards.
• Excellent oral and written communication, including EMR documentation.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and make decisions under stress.
• Ability to maintain teamwork and collaborate with other departments for continuity of care.
• Develop and implement educational processes for staff and stand in for manager when needed.
• Critical thinking and patient assessment using respiratory therapy protocols.
• Must read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Ensures efficient use of resources and staffing by reviewing scheduling needs.
• Acts as liaison between staff and leadership, communicating issues promptly.
• Maintains good relationships with customers and healthcare team members.

• Assists with clinical duties as needed, maintaining required competencies.
• Adheres to safety regulations and hospital policies.
• Attends leadership orientation and ongoing management/leadership classes.

• Monitors staff activities to ensure policy compliance.
• Demonstrates professional standards and ethics with patients and staff.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Completes performance appraisals, counsels staff, and initiates corrective actions.
