Job summary

Trinity Health in Michigan is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist to administer nasal oxygen, nebulized medications, and bedside therapies, under physician orders. You will participate in patient assessments, chart in the electronic medical record, and collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure safe, effective care.

A high school diploma, completion of RT program year (or paramedic/EMT) and BCLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of either 1) first year of accredited RT program in good standing or 2) paramedic or EMT program.
• Experience: 6 months of RT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers nasal oxygen, Nebulized medication treatments, Hyper-inflation therapy; documents results in EMR.
• Interacts with patients, families and staff using AIDET and HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintains competency in respiratory care procedures and participates in patient transports as needed.
