Job summary

DMC Harper University/Hutzel Women’s Hospital in Detroit, MI is seeking a PRN Respiratory Services professional to administer respiratory care under supervision and support patient care plans. You will operate and calibrate respiratory equipment, perform blood gas analysis, and participate in treatments and transports as needed.

The role requires completion of an AMA/CoARC approved respiratory care program (or equivalent) or a diploma with OJT; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• AMA/CoARC approved Respiratory Care program, or a High School diploma with on-the-job training, or an Associate degree in science.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory care under the direct supervision of Licensed Respiratory Therapist.
• Performs prescribed doses of medical gases and aerosolized drugs and monitors oxygen therapy.
• Operates, calibrates, and maintains respiratory equipment; conducts patient care rounds and transports as needed.
