Cape Fear Valley Health System's Highsmith Rainey Specialty Hospital in Fayetteville, NC seeks an Respiratory Care Assistant. The role maintains supplies, handles equipment, administers nebulized meds, and participates in non-invasive patient care as per department guidelines.

It explicitly does not involve invasive procedures or critical care. The ideal candidate holds NCRCB RCA registration, is enrolled in an AMA-approved Respiratory Care Program, and has good English communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Registration with the NCRCB as an RCA required.
• Enrolled student in good standing of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care Program required.

Responsabilités

• Maintains an adequate amount of supplies needed for the department
• Picks up dirty equipment and then processes them to maintain an adequate supply of clean, ready to use equipment
• Performs testing of Cidex and/or other solutions utilized by the department
• Administers continuous oxygen and continuous bland aerosol therapy per department guidelines
• Does not participate in invasive procedures (Intubations) or critical care (mechanical ventilation)
• Instruct patients in the use and performance of Incentive Spirometry
• Performs CPT per department guidelines
• Charges for all services provided inclusive of use of BCX system
• Performs Arterial punctures
• Other duties as assigned
