Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is hiring a Respiratory Care Assistant (RCA) in New Haven, Connecticut. The RCA will support the Respiratory Care Department by managing equipment supplies, assisting therapists with patient care, and maintaining the operational environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably be enrolled in a Respiratory Care Program. The position requires effective communication skills and the ability to handle respiratory care equipment.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a CoARC approved Respiratory Care Program OR Six months of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records and inventory management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in medical equipment supply management with Respiratory Care Leadership.
• Communicate effectively with the Respiratory Care Team.
• Disinfect and set up equipment, including ventilators and non-invasive devices.
