Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital is a 280-bed acute care campus located in the heart of Grosse Pointe. Opened in 1945 by the Sisters of Bon Secours, it was acquired by Beaumont Health System in October 2007. In March 2012, the Cotton Family Birth Center at Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital was designated a Baby-Friendly® birth center by Baby-Friendly USA. Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital is also home to The James and Patricia Anderson Surgical Center, a leading-edge, hybrid surgical suite offering advanced learning, technological advancements and a wide array of procedures ranging from traditional to minimally invasive approaches.
Under the supervision of a Registered Respiratory Therapist, provides care to patients with acute and chronic illness by administering various therapeutic modalities and by providing reinforcement for the education and instruction developed in the patient care plan. Follows the patient care plan as developed by the registered respiratory therapist, adhering to protocols for the delivery of medication and oxygen setups/titration. Set up and monitor patients placed on non‑invasive ventilation (depending on site). Equipment processing, including high level disinfection of reusable supplies, oxygen tank maintenance, replenishing of par levels as needed. Performs chart review for verification of orders; provide electronic documentation; provide reinforcement of patient and family education.
