Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Endoscopy - Grosse Pointe Hosp unit. The role coordinates patient care under the direction of a registered nurse and supports clerical tasks and supply management to keep the unit functioning smoothly.

Responsibilities include providing patient care as directed, documenting in the EMR, and organizing daily work based on unit priorities. A high school diploma and nursing assistant training or experience are required, with BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Required high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of nursing assistant program and/or one year of nursing assistant experience preferred.
• BLS certifications (American Heart Association or Red Cross) at time of hire preferred.

Essential Functions

• Provide patient care assignments as delegated by and under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Clerical/manages supplies/equipment in designated care areas.
• Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy. Documents in electronic medical record.
• Acts as a receptionist and organizes daily work assignment based on unit priorities.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of nursing assistant program and/or one year of nursing assistant experience. Preferred
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
• CRT-Nursing Assistant - LARA-BCHS Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs Upon Hire preferred
