Job summary

Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC is seeking a Respiratory Care Apprentice to provide non-clinical operational support within the Respiratory Care Services department.

Reporting to licensed Respiratory Care Practitioners, the apprentice will assist with equipment processing, supply management, and transport of respiratory equipment, while developing foundational knowledge for future clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides non-clinical operational support to Respiratory Care Services under supervision of licensed therapists.

• Learns respiratory equipment nomenclature, functions, and basic operating principles.
• Does not perform direct patient care or replace licensed staff.
