Job summary

System Support seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory assessment, therapy, evaluation and patient education across diverse populations. The role requires Ohio licensure and an NBRC RRT credential, with BLS within 90 days of hire. Prior healthcare experience is preferred.

The incumbent will collaborate with care teams to ensure high-quality respiratory care and participate in annual competencies and orientations as required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

The incumbent will be responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education and communication for all patient populations served.

Education

Graduate of AMA accredited program for Respiratory Care.

Licensure

Holds and maintains a current Ohio license.

Certification

RRT credential by the NBRC. BLS for health care providers must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.

Experience

Previous health care experience preferred.

Skills/Other

The RRT must be able to successfully complete the clinical and didactic orientations for adult patient care areas. In order to maintain the status of a Registered Respiratory Therapist, the incumbent must successfully complete the annual competencies provided by the department for the appropriate patient care areas.
