Job summary

System Support in Ohio seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner to perform routine respiratory care procedures and resuscitation, ventilator care, ABG sampling and analysis, EKGs, and quality control of analyzers. Oxygen rounds, staff training, and care for patients of all ages are included.

Requirements: graduation from a Respiratory Therapist program, Ohio Registered Care Practitioner License, Ohio Registered Respiratory Care License, and current BLS; six months of clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Respiratory Therapist program.
• Hold Ohio Registered Care Practitioner License.
• Ohio Registered Respiratory Care License.
• Current BLS certification.
• Six months of clinical experience, preferably in critical care.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine respiratory care procedures and resuscitation.
• Ventilator care and ABG sampling/analysis.
• Perform EKGs and quality control of analyzers.
• Oxygen rounds and patient training.

• Accept, transcribe & implement verbal orders from physicians within scope.

Job description

Perform routine respiratory care procedures and resuscitation techniques as well as ventilator care, ABG sampling and analysis, EKG's, quality control and maintenance of analyzers,oxygen rounds, and training, and any other related duties as assigned. Ability to treat patients of all age groups. Education: Graduation from Respiratory Therapist Program.

Licensure: Valid Ohio Registered Care Practitioner License.

Certification: Valid Ohio Registered Respiratory Care License. Must possess a current BLS certification.

Experience: Six months clinical experience to include experience in critical care preferred.

Skills/Other: The ability to analyze, prioritize and evaluate patient needs in an efficient and effective manner. The Respiratory Care Practitioner must possess effective verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills. Able to accept, transcribe & implement verbal orders from physicians within their scope of care.
