Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL is hiring a Respiratory Care Practice I, reg MMH, full-time night shift. Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required; completion of a respiratory certification program may substitute for degree
• ACLS/BLS/RRT-credentialed licensure required or pursued
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Respiratory Therapy or related field
• ACLS/BLS/RRT credentials are required or actively pursued as part of licensure

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care procedures per physician orders
• Maintain proficiency with respiratory and blood gas lab modalities and equipment
• Communicate effectively with the interprofessional care team
• Document and bill for services in the EMR system

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic clinical procedures as defined in the Respiratory Care Services scope of clinical practice and in accordance with physician orders, policies, and protocols. Additional responsibilities are required, such as maintaining proficiency with all respiratory and blood gas lab modalities and equipment, communicating with other members of the interprofessional care team, and documenting/billing for services in the electronic medical record.
