The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic clinical procedures as defined in the Respiratory Care Services scope of clinical practice and in accordance with physician orders, policies, and protocols. Additional responsibilities are required, such as maintaining proficiency with all respiratory and blood gas lab modalities and equipment, communicating with other members of the interprofessional care team, and documenting/billing for services in the electronic medical record. The RRT serves as an ambassador for the department as well as the Center by demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.

Position Highlights

• Responsible for the competent and proficient performance of all respiratory and cardiology procedures for critical and basic floor care. The Ideal Candidate:
• Will be a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Has a minimum of 6 months experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Credentialed by the NBRC as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Responsibilities:
• Competently performs all respiratory and cardiology procedures.
• Demonstrates appropriate knowledge in the use of all respiratory and cardiology equipment.
• Documents in the hospital computer system all procedures performed per JCAHO requirements and department policies. Credentials and Qualifications:
• Completion of a Respiratory Care program is required.
• Licensure in the state of Florida in Respiratory therapy is required.
• Current BLS required.
• ACLS required.

Salary Range

$31.21 - $47.61

Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
