Job summary

Signature HealthCARE is seeking a highly organized MDS Float Nurse (RN/LPN) for full-time travel across center locations. You will oversee Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) processes, PPS, QM’s, and care planning while upholding our person-centered care standards.

Travel Mon-Fri with weekly overnights is required; mileage and lodging are reimbursed, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible candidates. Multi-state licensure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN licensure with ability to obtain multi-state licensure.
• Minimum 3 years MDS experience in a long-term care setting.
• Willingness to travel to centers up to 100% with overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Provide MDS coverage for open positions and educate/implement RAI, PPS, QM’s, Medicaid/Medicare guidelines.
• Assist and collaborate with Clinical Reimbursement Specialist for onboarding of new MDSC.
• Exhibit competency in RAI, Care Planning, PPS, Medicare, and Medicaid Case Mix as applicable.

Overview

The ideal MDS float Candidate is very detailed orientated, organized, self-motivated, while still being bedside for resident assessment and meeting with families. The ability to travel Monday – Friday is a must.

How you Will make a difference

• Provide MDS coverage for open positions, educate and implement programs that apply to the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), Prospective Payment Systems (PPS), Quality Measures (QM’s), Medicaid Casemix and Medicare guidelines for all SHC stakeholders.
• Assist and collaborate with Clinical Reimbursement Specialist with onboarding of new MDSC.
• Exhibit competency in all areas of the RAI, Care Planning, PPS, Medicare, and when applicable Medicaid Case Mix

What you Need to make a Difference

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with ability to obtain multi-state licensures.
• Minimum of three (3) years MDS experience in a long-term care setting.
• Travel to centers up to 100% of the time with overnight stays as needed.
