Job summary

Signature HealthCARE is seeking an MDS Float Candidate for travel across centers. The role requires nursing licensure (RN/LPN) and extensive MDS experience to support resident assessments and family meetings.

Ideal candidates travel Monday–Friday with overnight stays and receive a $5,000 sign-on, mileage and lodging reimbursement, and full-time employment benefits.

• Must be current RN or LPN with multi-state licensure ability.
• Minimum of three years MDS experience in long-term care.
• Willingness to travel Monday–Friday, with overnight stays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide MDS coverage for open positions and educate on RAI, PPS, QM, Medicaid/Medicare guidelines.
• Assist Clinical Reimbursement Specialist with onboarding of new MDSC.
• Demonstrate competency in RAI, care planning, PPS, Medicare, and Medicaid case mix.

Overview

The ideal MDS float Candidate is very detailed orientated, organized, self-motivated, while still being bedside for resident assessment and meeting with families. The ability to travel Monday – Friday is a must.

How you Will make a difference

• Provide MDS coverage for open positions, educate and implement programs that apply to the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), Prospective Payment Systems (PPS), Quality Measures (QM’s), Medicaid Casemix and Medicare guidelines for all SHC stakeholders.
• Assist and collaborate with Clinical Reimbursement Specialist with onboarding of new MDSC.
• Exhibit competency in all areas of the RAI, Care Planning, PPS, Medicare, and when applicable Medicaid Case Mix

What you Need to make a Difference

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with ability to obtain multi-state licensures.
• Minimum of three (3) years MDS experience in a long-term care setting.
• Travel to centers up to 100% of the time with overnight stays as needed.
