Job summary

The Goddard School of Chester Springs, PA is seeking a Resource Teacher to support multiple classrooms and age groups, providing dependable help to Lead and Assistant Teachers.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma is required; an associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
• Experience with young children is preferred; training available.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass state background checks.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead and Assistant Teachers in creating a safe, nurturing classroom.
• Work with infants to pre-K depending on school needs.
• Build positive relationships with children across age groups.
• Step into classrooms to provide additional support during busy times, breaks, transitions, and staff absences.
• Engage children through play, books, music, movement, sensory experiences, and age-appropriate activities.
• Assist with daily routines including meals, diapering, toileting, nap, and transitions.
• Help maintain clean, organized, and inviting classrooms.
• Follow health and safety procedures and state licensing requirements.
• Communicate positively with children, families, and team members.
• Be a dependable team member ready to help wherever needed.

You'll have the opportunity to work in different classrooms, build relationships with children across the school, support teachers throughout the day, and step in wherever you're needed most. What You'll Do:

As a Resource Teacher, you will:

• Support Lead and Assistant Teachers in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
• Work with infants, toddlers, twos, preschool, and pre-K children depending on the needs of the school
• Build positive relationships with children across different age groups
• Step into classrooms to provide additional support during busy times, breaks, transitions, and staff absences
• Engage children through play, conversation, books, music, movement, sensory experiences, and age-appropriate activities
• Assist with daily routines including meals, diapering, toileting, nap, and transitions
• Help maintain clean, organized, and inviting classrooms
• Support teachers with classroom preparation, cleaning, and organization
• Follow classroom routines, curriculum, health and safety procedures, and state licensing requirements
• Communicate positively and professionally with children, families, and team members
• Be a dependable team member who is ready to jump in and help wherever needed

You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children and meet all required state background check, education, experience, and credential requirements.
