Job summary

The Accelerated Schools in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Resource Specialist Teacher to design and deliver individualized instruction for students with disabilities, using data to guide IEP goals and supports. Reporting to the Principal, you will collaborate with general education teachers and outside agencies to ensure compliance and student success.

Qualifications

• California Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Mild/Moderate Disabilities with English Learner Authorization or an equivalent credential.
• University Intern Credential, Provisional Internship Permit, or Short-Term Staff Permit in the required content area.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff to implement IEP-mandated services in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).
• Design inclusive, student-centered instruction guided by IEP goals and data analysis.
• Develop and monitor progress toward academic and behavioral goals for students with disabilities.
• Maintain compliant documentation including IEPs, progress reports, and service logs.
• Lead IEP and treatment planning meetings with families and teams.
• Support positive behavior and foster student belonging through restorative practices.
