Job summary

RCM Healthcare Services is seeking a Special Education Teacher / Resource Teacher in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The role involves providing specialized instruction and supporting students with IEPs in resource and general education settings, onsite at the school.

You will manage caseloads, document progress, and collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure compliant services and successful student outcomes. Hourly rate up to $50/hr, school-year schedule and full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of special education procedures, IEP processes, and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of and aptitude for student information systems and software related to special education.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and other school staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned caseload of special education students, including IEPs, REEDs, and MDRs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs while providing academic support in resource room and general education settings.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and school staff regarding accommodations, testing, discipline, and delivery of appropriate special education services.
