Qualifications

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Resource Room Teacher at SCMV Options. This full-time position is designed for an educator who is committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment for students with diverse learning needs. The Resource Room Teacher will work collaboratively with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to provide tailored support and interventions that promote academic success and personal growth for students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• - Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.


• - Provide direct instruction and support in a resource room setting, focusing on academic skills, social-emotional development, and self-advocacy.


• - Collaborate with general education teachers to identify students in need of additional support and create strategies for inclusion in the mainstream classroom.


• - Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instructional strategies and interventions as needed.


• - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance, IEP goals, and other relevant documentation.


• - Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to discuss student progress and address concerns.

Requirements
