Job summary

Woodland Public Schools is seeking a Resource Room Paraeducator to assist teachers in daily activities and to support students’ learning in a Resource classroom and occasionally in general education settings. The role requires teamwork, strong communication, reliability, and flexibility; experience with children and ability to manage classroom behavior under guidance from teachers is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• One year of job-related experience with children in an educational setting.
• Ability to work well with staff and students and to support classrooms and programs.
• Ability to learn and use a computer monitor, keyboard, and adaptive technologies.
• Ability to perform duties with supervision from teachers and administrators.

Responsibilities

• Support students in classroom activities and note-taking as directed by teachers.
• Assist with behavior management and observation in alignment with education plans.
• Supervise Boys Locker Room and monitor student safety during school activities.
• Collaborate with general and special education staff to implement instructional programs.
• Maintain confidentiality and keep accurate records as required.
