Family of Kidz seeks a Special Educator Resource Room to provide direct, small-group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals in varied North Shore cases. The role offers part-time or full-time options, with compensation at $60/hour, and sessions scheduled during school hours.

You will develop individualized lesson plans, adapt materials for diverse learners, and collaborate with teachers and families. This is a rewarding position within a supportive educational team.

Competenze

• NYS Students with Disabilities Certification K-6, 7-12 ( NYS SWD All Grades or Permanent Preferred).
• Minimum of (1) year experience working in a setting focusing on supporting children and their families preferred
• Bilingual is a plus

Mansioni

• Provide direct, small-group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals.
• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to student needs.
• Adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies to support diverse learners
• Review, understand, and implement each student’s IEP mandates.
• Collect ongoing progress data and prepare quarterly progress reports.
• Maintain accurate session notes and submit documentation within required timelines.
• Communicate regularly with general education teachers regarding student needs, accommodations, and classroom strategies.
• Participate in CSE/IEP meetings as needed.
• Maintain professional communication with families, school administrators, and related service providers.
• Create a structured, supportive learning environment.
• Implement positive behavior support strategies and classroom routines.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on data.
