Job summary

MultiCare Auburn Medical Center in Auburn, WA is seeking a Staff RN to join our hospital-based team. This 0.9 FTE position features day shifts with 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, and some holidays, offering a chance to utilize your nursing care within a multidisciplinary environment.

You will deliver care using the nursing process, participate in quality improvement, and support patients and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five years from the initial date of hire.
• Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
• Registered Nurse license (RN) in Washington State or multi-state licensure endorsement (MSL)
• Current BLS Certification required
• ACLS or NALS or PALS or TNCC or NRP certification, as required by facility or department
• Certification in specialty area preferred
• One (1) year of experience in acute care setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering and evaluating on an ongoing basis
• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols
• Collaborate with the nursing team to facilitate improvement in quality of care, patient experience and cost reduction
• Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff and health care team
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse backgrounds

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service or internal candidates hired before January 1, 2021 may be considered in satisfaction of this requirement in lieu of an education agreement
• Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
• Registered Nurse license (RN) in Washington State or multi‑state licensure endorsement (MSL)
• Current BLS Certification required
• ACLS or NALS or PALS or TNCC or NRP certification, as required by facility or department
• Certification in specialty area preferred
• One (1) year of experience in acute care setting preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $49.77 - $93.53 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
