Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Illinois seeks a Float Nurse to deliver adaptable, high-quality Medical-Surgical care across multiple hospitals and units within the division. You will float between 5-7 facilities, applying your clinical skills where needed and contributing to consistent patient care.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, an active RN license in the state, BLS and ACLS, and a minimum of 2 years’ Medical-Surgical RN experience.

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association; and ACLS

Where You Will Work

Advocate Health IL Float Pool is a multi‑site resource team supporting Medical Surgical (Med Surg) care across the Illinois division. Float RNs provide adaptable, high‑quality nursing care across multiple hospitals and units based on organizational need. Teammates must be flexible, skilled, and ready to deliver exceptional care in a wide variety of settings.
