Job summary

Jefferson Healthcare in Port Townsend, WA is seeking a Resource Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care while serving as a resource across departments including ED, ICU, and FBU. The role requires sedation experience and flexibility to rotate across units.

Qualifications

• Active WA RN license in good standing.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC.
• Advanced certifications for specific populations (e.g., PN/ENPC, CNOR, etc.) may be required or preferred.
• 2 years ICU/ED experience and sedation experience required.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care and coordinate across departments as a resource.
• Rotate among ED, FBU, ICU or contribute to multiple units as needed.
• Deliver care following the nursing process to meet patient outcomes.

Resource Registered Nurse

Jefferson Healthcare is seeking a Resource Registered Nurse to join our team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to provide patient-centered care while serving as a resource for all departments as needed. You may be assigned to work in a single unit for the entire shift or assist multiple departments throughout the day, including the Emergency Department (ED), Family Birth Unit (FBU), or Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Experience with sedation is required, as this position will also support our new Interventional Radiology service. As a vital member of the patient care team, you will deliver nursing care tailored to the individual needs of each patient, following the nursing process. Your colleagues will depend on you to ensure that patient needs are met and expected outcomes are achieved.

What you'll need:

• Current Washington State RN license in good standing
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Required.
• Advanced current certification required or preferred for specific patient populations:
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Trauma Nurse Care Course (TNCC), American Nurses Association Med‑Surg, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR), Mother‑Friendly, Wound Care, Procedural Sedation, Chemotherapy, Anti‑coagulation therapy management, Oncology, Hospice and Palliative Nursing
• 2 years of experience in ICU/ED and Sedation required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Schedule:

0.9 FTE; 36 hours/week; 12-hour shifts, Night shift (1900-0730)
