Job summary

The Bremerton Free-standing ED within Virginia Mason Franciscan Health seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting.

The role requires WA RN licensure, ED or critical care experience within the last two years, and current BLS; ACLS within 60 days and pediatric/trauma certifications within specified timeframes are expected.

• Administers, oversees and documents medication administration as ordered and per hospital policy.
• Assesses patients physically, psychosocially, culturally, behaviorally/emotionally, developmentally and spiritually.
• Gathers data relevant for patient care and updates records.
• Implements interventions and evaluates patient outcomes.

• Administers, oversees and documents the administration of medications (e.g., topically, orally, intramuscularly, subcutaneously and intravenously) as ordered by the healthcare practitioner and in accordance with hospital policy.
• Assesses patient to include physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral/emotional, developmental and spiritual needs.
• Gathers data relevant for patient care.
• Implements appropriate patient interventions and evaluates outcomes.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing., upon hire and
• Previous E.D. experience current within the last 2 years, upon hire or
• Critical care experience, current within the last 2 years, upon hire
• Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 60 Days and
• Trauma Nurse Core Course, within 12 - months and
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 12 - months and
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 12 - months or
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course, within 12 - months

Preferred

• Bachelors Of Science Nursing and One year of related work experience in an acute care setting, upon hire and
• Certified Emergency Nurse, upon hire
